Why I Ryan Thomas Evans Stopped Blogging

Hello Readers (Tim maybe Jared)...I wanted to just let you know how I'm feeling about the blogging world lately and why I have took such a long hiatus. I am all for blogs I read about six a day no joke.
My Blogroll (in the order I read them)
http://hypebeast.com/
http://www.highsnobiety.com/
http://2dopeboyz.okayplayer.com/
http://therapup.uproxx.com/
http://tommyswift.blogspot.com/
http://jaredthomasradio.blogspot.com/
(and maybe like three more)
What I have realized is everyone and there mother seem to have a blog or write for a blog...and most of it is just recycled information from another blog. Everyone just bites information from each other and we never really find out the true source it came from. My top four blogs on the list most of the time have the same shit as each other and for some reason I still read them and check them almost three times a day (quite unhealthy). Myself included when I post on http://jaredthomasradio.blogspot.com/ I normally just take a video or song I saw on the rap up or 2 dope boyz give you the link and maybe give you my opinion on it. I started this blog with Tim to try and do the opposite. I wanted Tim and I to document adventures, take pictures, give you our opinion on restaurants, maybe review an album or two if we love them. It really just became another information biting blog, that never really shows you insight into the two creative people Tim and I are. For instance Tim fucking made ketchup the other day. FUCKING COOKED IT, and it was delicious. I on the other hand create music, I sit in my room and listen to records and create music. Jared (not a member of T and R but he adds to the point I'm making) paints, I luckily got to see one of his works and it blew me away...Seriously Jared It's Amazing..It's not just a hobby your mad good..
All I'm saying is blogs don't show the reader how creative we are or what amazing individuals we are..It does the exact opposite it shows how we all like the same thing so we post it on our blog for other people to read and just inspires nobody...So I myself RYAN THOMAS EVANS will only blog on Thanks and Regards and JTR if I feel inspired to, but right now I'm feeling like I want to make music and ride my bike.

THANKS,
RYAN

We Just Be Hyperizin'
This video has become a favorite over here at T & R and it deserves to be posted here. It features the Sixers' own Andre Igoudala, or @AI9 for the Twitter folks. He and Thaddeus Young will make an appearance to promote the shoes at the House of Hoops grand opening event in the Cherry Hill Mall on August 16th. You can read more about that here: http://tinyurl.com/kodem6. Watch and enjoy:

Something on All Our Minds
I think I can speak for many people by saying that I thoroughly enjoy all of the music that Ryan has put out this year. I believe the last song he released was "Higher Thought" (which is sick) and I was fortunate enough to hear a few other tracks from the album and they all are gnarly. And that leads me to the title of this post, I think something that is on all of our minds is when can we expect the debut album Higher Though from Ryan Evans? Who knows, maybe after he sees this post he will make an announcement. We can only hope...

Bloody Beatroots x The Cool KIds

Yes Bloody Beatroots the Italian Dance Duo Team up with my favorite HipHopHipster Group The Cool kids to release The Bloody Beatroots' first single "Awesome". Off of the The Beatroots; highly inticpated album Romborama filled with dirty house techno beats and some guests, I think it will be one of the best house albums to come out in a long time.

Ryan's Magical Mixtapes Pt.3

I think this is the first mixtape that made a lot of sense to me...It's called Everybody's Nobody and the artist is this new cat on the block XV. He is quite lyrical and has some dope production from his friend Seven. Features include Lil Wayne Ne-Yo Big Sean and a lot more I don't feel like adding. If your in the mood to open your mind this is the mixtape to do it..

Ryan

Bad News

I logged on to our Twitter tonight and I saw Drake was a trending topic so I clicked his name to see what everyone was talking about. I then saw numerous links to the picture above of Drake lying on stage at the Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden. Apparently he twisted his already injured knee and had to be carried off stage by 4 people. Drake said in an interview last week that doctors said if he tears his ACL again he may never be able to walk again. That would be very unfortunate if that is the case, so let's just hope it isn't that serious. Here's a link I found on Twitter with more information on what happened at the show: http://www.missinfo.tv/index.php/breaking-news-drake-twists-injured-knee-and-collapses-onstage-in-camden-nj/

A Little Food News
The Food Network had a show last year called The Next Iron Chef in which numerous well-known executive chefs competed over weeks to become, yes you guessed, the Next Iron Chef. Last year Michael Symon beat John Besh which I was not very enthused about because John Besh is a boss and Michael Symon is kind of annoying. But this year, Philadelphia's own Jose Garces will be competing on the show, which begins October 4th. He owns a few restaurants in Philly, none of which I have been to but I certainly plan to. He was actually a challenger on Iron Chef America not too long ago and he kicked the habaneros out of Bobby Flay.
Jose Garces is not the only chef from Philadelphia that will be competing on a cooking show this year, 2 others will be on Top Chef Las Vegas. They would be Jennifer Zavala(pitcured above, 5th from left) from El Camino Real and Jennifer Carroll(pictured above, middle, wearing black) from Eric Ripert's 10 Arts. I have not been to either and don't really plan on going because both are pretty damn expensive. Top Chef Las Vegas starts August 26th and I am very excited for it, partially because I get to see Padma and Gail more often.

Lupe where have you been?

dreidel, dreidel, dreidel, I made it out of CLAE
Clae, one of my favorite newer shoe brands have released some pictures of their new kicks that will be arriving in stores (NOT FOOT LOCKER) in the Fall....I'm glad that the new cool thing to do for sneaker heads is make a clean looking shoe with maybe two colors at the most with a white sole...I'm really feeling this trend and I hope to pick up some of this new collection when Ubiq starts to pick these suckers up.

Just Another Cudi Post
This video makes me want to see him so badly when he comes to Philly.
Although the bass in the video is a little messed up, it still looks sick. I hope that I get to witness this greatness live.

Upcoming Films
There are two movies that I am very excited to see later on this year. Up has been my favorite so far but then again, I haven't seen many in theaters. The one that I am most excited for is Where the Wild Things Are. The movie is directed by Spike Jonze and he wrote the screenplay along with Dave Eggers, who is one of my favorite authors. It was probably my favorite book as a kid and that contributes to my excitement for it, along with the trailer which looks amazing.
The other movie I am excited about is Fantastic Mr. Fox. It is an adaptation of the children's book of the same written by Roald Dahl. The film is directed by Wes Anderson and features the voices of regulars in Anderson's films such as Bill Murray, George Clooney, Jason Schwartzman, and Ryan's favorite, Owen Wilson. There is no trailer out yet but some stills from the movie appeared online recently and they look pretty sweet.

You can see more pictures from Fantastic Mr. Fox here: http://www.usatoday.com/life/movies/l090724_mister_fox/flash.htm?gid=1114&aid=5104

Man Necklaces???
I have been debating whether or not to purchase and start rocking a man necklace...some people are for it some are against it...I like to be different when it comes to my Vin Steezel aka (my style) but sometimes I feel like I could pull off a man necklace and other days I feel I am incapable of doing such. One day soon you will see me with a dope ass man necklace on and you will want one to (hopefully)

Cantina
Ryan and I tried to go to Cantina a few months back but I had some car trouble on the way there and we never got to go. Today, we finally made it over to Cantina Los Caballitos in South Philly. I had been there before and thought it was excellent and I still feel the same way. We shared these amazing fried plantains, Ryan got chicken tacos which looked delectable and I got the vegetarian quesadilla with mushrooms, cheese, and some other things that I can't remember.
Thankfully they give you chips when you sit down because we were both starving when we got there. I like Taco House's chips better but both salsas were good.
These are the amazing fried plantains. They were sweet and delicious.
Ryan's chicken tacos which looked very appetizing. Seeing them made me want to eat meat again.
The vegetarian quesadilla served with sour cream, lettuce, pico de gallo, and some white substance which I used up. It was tasty, or as the guy in the song "Fergalicious" says, "T to the A, to the S-T-E-Y."
You know how Tim and I feel about Cudi
